Author Richard Hulse was interviewed recently for an article – Napoleon’s Highest Honor Goes to City College Alumnus – on his late father, Jerry Hulse, a former award winning LA Times travel writer and best seller author of Jody which was adopted into a film in the 1970s. Jerry Hulse’s eldest and only surviving son Richard Hulse is the author of two full length books – My Brother Bo: Addicted in Paradise and Forty Crazy Years of Friendship.

Rose Humphrey Burkett, a native of Flora, Madison County, Mississippi, is an administrative assistant in the medical field with a Medical Administration degree from Hinds Community College. She now lives in Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi with her husband A. Jerry Burkett.
