Richard Hulse is an expect on Opioid Addiction. Hulse researched his younger brother ‘Bo’s’ battle with addiction and his prescription drug overdose. Hulse’s book described the ugly impact addiction had on his family. 

My Brother Bo: Addicted in Paradise caught the attention of Pres. Obama, who wrote Hulse a letter. The Obama’s administration has spend a considerable amount of time increasing awareness on Prescription Drug and Opioid addiction which is a national crisis. 

Richard Hulse is the author of two books. He is oldest son of Jerry Hulse, a former award winning Travel Editor for the LA Times and the bestselling author of the book Jody Hulse. The story of Jody Hulse ws told in the 1993 television movie “A Family of Strangers.”
