DSCN5110On July 2, 2016, Alice Thomas-Tisdale, Publisher, Jackson Advocate, oldest black owned newspaper in Mississippi, witnessed the marriage of her one and only daughter – DeAnna to Andre Johnson. Meredith Coleman McGee, Publisher, Meredith Etc, posed with her tutor. McGee landed her first writing job with the Jackson Advocate on Farish St in the Historic Farish St. District in December of 1993.
