Congratulations to author Gwendolyn Maberry and illustrator Tanyel Maberry for the release of “I Learn to Read” a coloring and activity book, Friday, March 4, 2022.

I Learn to Read is a coloring and activity book written by Gwendolyn Bell and illustrated by her niece Tanyel Maberry. This book was inspired by the Reaching One Community At A Time Ministries’ ROCAAT theme song I Learn to Read. The book is designed to engage early learners from K-4. Ms. Bell is an Elementary teacher and the director of ROCAAT Ministries where she oversees afterschool, reading, and summer programs. Children will need crayons and a pencil.

We lost our Queen Aunt Miriam Meredith Griffin, age 95, this morning. Miriam Meredith Griffin, older sister of James Meredith (author); born to Cap Meredith and Barbara Nash Meredith in 1926. She was raised by her dad and stepmother Roxie Patterson Meredith.

Aunt Miriam was the first Valedictorian in the family – 1944, the first college graduate 1957 and a long time Florida educator. Missing our Queen Aunt who was blessed with a long life on this earth.
