Author Richard Hulse was interviewed recently for an article – Napoleon’s Highest Honor Goes to City College Alumnus – on his late father, Jerry Hulse, a former award winning LA Times travel writer and best seller author of Jody which was adopted into a film in the 1970s. Jerry Hulse’s eldest and only surviving son Richard Hulse is the author of two full length books – My Brother Bo: Addicted in Paradise and Forty Crazy Years of Friendship.

Rose Humphrey Burkett, a native of Flora, Madison County, Mississippi, is an administrative assistant in the medical field with a Medical Administration degree from Hinds Community College. Burkett has been writing poetry for several decades. Her first published poem Memories debuted in the poetry anthology Measures of the Heart. Teacup Memories is her first book.
