Congratulations to Congresswoman Barbara Lee on her wedding engagement

Do you have any New Year’s Eve plans, Meredith C?

I do… I’m getting married!

I’ll be ringing in the new year surrounded by friends and family, as I marry the most wonderful man I’ve ever met, Rev. Dr. Clyde W. Oden, Jr.

He is a retired African Methodist Episcopalian minister and has been a leader in many social justice causes close to my heart.

As one of my best supporters, I couldn’t wait to introduce my newest constituent to you!

I’m busy prepping for the wedding, but before I log off I need to ask:

Will make a donation of whatever amount is meaningful to you before we close the books on our end-of-year fundraising? This is the biggest deadline we’ve faced so far, so if you’ve been waiting for the right moment to give — the time is now. Donate here.

DONATE

As we ring in the new year, I want to thank you for your support, warm wishes, and for staying woke.

In solidarity,

Barbara Lee

Thank you for purchasing “Woman Preach” this week by the late Rev. Dr. Louis Blake Hawthorn. Try “Social Justice and Christianity” too. Rev. Hawthorn left two treasures in print.

Rev. Hawthorn speaking to an audience at the Lexington Public Library. He broke the crowd record for the local Friends group. They had not had such a successful author event in 20 years.
"Woman Preach" by the late Rev. Dr. Louis Blake Hawthorn continues to resonate with Christian readers.
