Viewing party for “Street Scene”

Sunday, Oct. 2 at 4 pm the Jackson Advocate is hosting a viewing party for “Street Scene,” an opera Deanna (Tisdale) Johnson performed. Langston Hughes wrote the lyrics. It’s a fundraiser for Butterflies By Grace, a domestic violence prevention program. No cost to attend but asking audience to support the program with a pledge card. It’s at Tougaloo College in the Bennie Thompson auditorium.
